L. Faye LAWSON, 90, native of Jefferson County, died at 6 p.m. Friday at the Nelson Nursing Home.
Miss LAWSON spent her entire life in the Fairfield community. She was employed at the Fair Department Store from April 11, 1910 to Feb. 22, 1943; at the First National Bank from Feb. 23, 1943 to July 31, 1962; and part time at the law office of Simmons and Simmons and later the Roy Simpson law office until Dec. 31, 1976.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the Raymond Funeral Home. The Rev. Clair Odell will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetary (sic - Cemetery).
Friends may call at the funeral home at their convenience for visitation. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church or Order of Eastern Star project fund.
L. Faye LAWSON was born July 21, 1894, in Jefferson County. She was the daughter of Alfred D. and Catherine (sic - Catharine) BONNETT LAWSON.
She attended rural schools in Jefferson County and the Harkness Academy in Fairfield. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star for over 50 years, the latter of which she was a past matron.
The last of her family, she is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
