BATAVIA. Since our last there have been two deaths in our town. D. A. McINTYRE (sic - McINTIRE), an old and respected citizen, dropped dead while making preparations to get breakfast. He was 76 years old, having settled in Locust Grove Township 37 years ago. The other was an infant son of A. J. BURNAUGH, aged ? months, of cholera infantum.

Note: Daniel McINTIRE is buried in County Line Cemetery. The BURNAUGH infant was Walter, son of Andrew J. and Victoria HALL BURNAUGH, born in January, 1879, and died June 16th, 1879; he is buried in Agency Cemetery, Wapello County, per a family researcher.
