Sandra Kay BILLHEIMER McINTIRE, 63, formerly of Fairfield, died Wednesday evening, Sept. 7, 2011, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Sandra Kay BILLHEIMER McINTIRE, 63, died Wednesday, Sept. 7, 2011, at St Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Medea Saunders officiating. Burial, with military rites, will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be 9:30-10:30 Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. McINTIRE was born Oct. 23, 1947, in Milton, the daughter of Arthur Leroy and Gleda Irene BILLHEIMER.

Mrs. McINTIRE attended Fairfield High School. She was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served from 1974 to 1994 -- she held the position of automated command systems operator at retirement.

Survivors include one son: Michael David McINTIRE of West Chester, and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
