Keith YOUNG, 76, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at Washington Care Center.

Arrangements are pending at Beatty Funeral Home in Washington, Iowa.

Keith Earl YOUNG

Keith Earl YOUNG, 76, of Washington, Iowa, died Sunday, Sept. 4, 2011, at Washington Care Center.

A celebration of life will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Washington. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Washington.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Friday at the church.

A general memorial fund has been established.

Mr. YOUNG was born Sept. 18, 1934, in Ainsworth, the son of Elmer and Faith PALMER YOUNG. He married Patricia L. KOLLOSICK April 30, 1960, in Fairfield. She preceded him in death.

Mr. YOUNG worked as a carpenter and owned Young's Construction for several years.

He enjoyed working with his hands. He also liked animals.

Survivors include two sons, David and Mark YOUNG of Washington; six grandchildren; two brothers, Kenneth "Brig" YOUNG of Washington and Jim YOUNG of Iowa City; and four sisters, Charlotte LEMLEY of Libertyville, Sylvia MILLER of Kalona, Patty Ann CARSON of Chariton and Viola KARR of Wayland.

In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Eugene and Arlo YOUNG; and three sisters, Neala GONTERMAN, Sandra YOUNG and Wanda BRERETON.
