Mary V. MILHOLIN

Mary V. MILHOLIN, 85, died today, Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A service will be held at a later date at First Lutheran Church. Her body has been donated to University of Iowa College of Medicine.

Arrangements are in the care of Behner Funeral Home.

Mary Virginia MILHOLIN, 85, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Word of Life Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Jamie Strickler officiating. Per Mrs. MILHOLIN's wishes, her body has been donated to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Cremation will follow.

A memorial has been established. Cards and memorials may be sent to the family in care of Pam ROBINSON, 514 S. Second Ave., Danville 52623.

Mary Virginia MILHOLIN

Mary Virginia MILHOLIN, 85, died Thursday, Sept. 1, 2011, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Mrs. MILHOLIN was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Oakland, Md., the daughter of David and Hazel Claire THAYER FUNK. She married Donald Richard MILHOLIN July 3, 1949, in Muscatine. He died in 2005.

Mrs. MILHOLIN was a real estate broker for more than 25 years.

Mrs. MILHOLIN was a member of First Lutheran Church and Lutheran Church Women. She also sang in the church choir. She was a member of the Bertha Rex Circle, Southeast Iowa Board of Realtors, Fairfield MLS and Fairfield Women's Club Chorus.

Survivors include three children: Pamela ROBINSON of Danville, Judi HIPP of Yuma, Ariz., and Donald MILHOLIN II of Greensboro, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and one brother, Brooks David FUNK of Davenport.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.
