Ronald Wayne PHILLIPS

Ronald Wayne PHILLIPS, 57, of rural Keosauqua, died Wednesday morning, Aug. 31, 2011, from injuries received while engaged in a logging operation northeast of Keosauqua.

A service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Douglas Harding officiating. Cremation will follow.

Open visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home, where the family will be present 5-7 p.m.

General memorials may be left at the funeral home or may be mailed to the family in care of Shawn PHILLIPS, 3115 Birch Ave., Richland 52585.

Mr. PHILLIPS was born June 30, 1954, in Moline, Ill., the son of Clark and Virginia PHILLIPS. He married Melody HAINLINE, and they later divorced.

Mr. PHILLIPS grew up in the Mount Sterling area and attended school in Memphis, Mo. He worked as a heavy equipment operator on road construction. He was employed by Reilly Construction of Ossian for the past few years and had worked for Cole Construction of Keosauqua for many years.

Survivors include three sons: Shawn PHILLIPS and Jody of Richland, Dustin PHILLIPS and Kirby of Brighton and Travis PHILLIPS and Patricia Stigerwald of Douds; two daughters: Jody HEISEL and Charles of Fairfield and Karey BOYD; his mother of Kahoka, Mo.; two sisters: Donna WASHBURN of Kahoka and Deloris VANDENBURG of Hudson; one brother: Randy PHILLIPS of Douds; one half-brother: Michael BEGGS of San Antonio, Texas; and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.
