Mrs. Clara PETERSON died yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gus C. SCHILLERSTROM, 600 North Main street. Mrs. PETERSON made her home in Perlee until six months ago when she came to this city to make her home with her daughters.
She was born February 15, 1848, her husband (sic - Andrew PETERSON) preceded her in death, March 4, 1928. She is survived by six children, Mrs. Will KANN, Mrs. SCHILLERSTROM, and Miss Emma PETERSON all of this city, Mrs. Jay CHANCE and Mrs. L. M. KYNER of Casper, Wyo., and Nelse PETERSON of Des Moines. Also two brothers, August SWANSON of Libertyville and Emil SWANSON of Sabula, Mo., and one granddaughter, Ellen SCHILLERSTROM.
Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 oclock in the Lutheran church in charge of Rev. George G. Parker. Burial will be at Salina.

MRS. ANDREW PETERSON
Clara SWANSON, the daughter of Peter and Kristeen SWANSON was born in Frostorp, Sweden, on February 5, 1848, and departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gust SCHILLERSTROM of Fairfield, Iowa, on June 15, 1930, at the age of 83 years and 4 months.
She left Sweden on May 12, 1878, and came direct to Fairfield, Iowa, where she resided with her sister, Mrs. Henry PETERSON, for about one year.
On July 22, 1879, she was united in marriage to Mr. Andrew PETERSON, of Perlee, Iowa. Of this happy union two sons and five daughters were born, all of whom remain with the exception of one son, Carl, who passed away on July 18, 1904. Her devoted husband also preceded her in death, passing away March 4, 1928.
The childre who survive Mrs. PETERSON are, one son, Nelse, of Des Moines, Iowa, and five daughters: Emma of Perlee, Iowa, Mrs. William KANN and Mrs. Gust SCHILLERSTROM, of Fairfield, and Mrs. E. J. CHANCE and Mrs. L. M. KYNER of Casper, Wyoming. She is also survived by one grandchild, Elleen SCHILLERSTROM of Fairfield, and two brothers, Mr. August SWANSON of Libertyville, Iowa, and Mr. Emil SWANSON, of Sabula, Missouri.
Mrs. PETERSON was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in Sweden and later had her membership transferred to the Lutheran church of Salina, Iowa, where she remained a faithful member to the day of her death.
Her entire married life was lived in Jefferson county. She was quiet and devout in her living and at the end of her 83 beautiful years she is rewarded by a host of true friends, the affection of her devoted children and the assurance of a Blessed Life Eternal.
The last six months of her life here was spent in the homes of her daughters, Mrs. William KANN and Mrs. Gust SCHILLERSTROM and all of her surviving children were by her side when the last great summons came with the exception of her daughter, Hulda, who is critically ill in Capser, Wyoming.
Fitting services were held in the First Lutheran church of Fairfield, on Tuesday, June 17, with Rev. George G. Parker officiating and she was laid to rest by the side of her husband in the Salina cemetery.
