Of this happy union two sons and five daughters were born, all of whom remain with the exception of one son, Carl, who passed away on July 18, 1904. Mrs. PETERSON was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran church in Sweden and later had her membership transferred to the Lutheran church of Salina, Iowa, where she remained a faithful member to the day of her death.

Her entire married life was lived in Jefferson county. She was quiet and devout in her living and at the end of her 83 beautiful years she is rewarded by a host of true friends, the affection of her devoted children and the assurance of a Blessed Life Eternal.

The last six months of her life here was spent in the homes of her daughters, Mrs. William KANN and Mrs. Gust SCHILLERSTROM and all of her surviving children were by her side when the last great summons came with the exception of her daughter, Hulda, who is critically ill in Capser, Wyoming.
