LEVI HARRISON DIES TODAY

Lifelong resident of Abingdon community was ill many months

Levi HARRISON (sic - Andrew Levi), 83, life-long resident of the Abingdon community, passed away shortly after midnight last night at the Jefferson County hospital, where he had been a patient for the past five weeks. He had been an invalid since October 8, and had been in poor health for five years.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the Christian church in Abingdon, in charge of Rev. S. P. Williamson. The Hoskins funeral directors will have charge of arrangements. Burial will be in Abingdon cemetery.

Mr. HARRISON was born August 16, 1857, near Abingdon. He had been a resident of that community his entire life. Following the death of his wife 27 years ago (sic - Levenia Jane BLACK), Mr. HARRISON moved into Abingdon. He had been a member of the Christian church of Abingdon for 68 years.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews, including John HARRISON and Walter HARRISON of Fairfield, and Mrs. Guy BROWN of Fredericksburg, Iowa.
