MRS. HUFFMAN DIES TODAY

Death follows attack of pneumonia for Abingdon woman

Mrs. John HUFFMAN, 56, residing one-half mile south of Abingdon, passed away at 11 a.m. today. Mrs. HUFFMAN had suffered an attack of pneumonia recently, but was apparently recovering. She had been able to sit up shortly before she was stricken.

No funeral arrangements have been announced as yet.

Mrs. HUFFMAN is survived by one son, Edgar HUFFMAN, at whose home she resided, and by one daughter, Mrs. Harry WILLHOIT of Batavia. Two grandchildren, Betty WHITMORE and Joan WILLHOIT, also survive.

Mrs. John E. HUFFMAN Funeral Services On Sunday, 2:00 O'clock (sic)

Funeral services for Mrs. John E. HUFFMAN will be held Sunday, April 21, at 2:00 p.m. at the Abingdon Christian church. Rev. S. P. Williamson will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in the Abingdon cemetery. Funeral arrangements are in charge of the Campbell Funeral Home at Batavia.

Mrs. HUFFMAN passed away at her home near Abingdon at 9:45 yesterday morning, following a sudden attack of apoplexy. She had recently recovered from pneumonia.

Annie ODUM HUFFMAN was born in Virginia August 25, 1883, and came to this community when a small girl. She married John E. HUFFMAN in 1901, and has lived near Abingdon since that time. She was a member of the Abingdon Christian church.

Surviving are her husband John E. HUFFMAN, one daughter, Mrs. Harry WILLHOIT of Batavia rural route, one son Edgar at home, and two granddaughters, Betty WHITMORE and Joan WILLHOIT. Three brothers and two sisters also survive.

Note: Buried in Abingdon Cemetery. Husband John died in 1952 and is also buried there.
