Mrs. PARSONS, 91, Dies At Home

Mrs. Mary Christine PARSONS, 91, pioneer Jefferson county resident, died last night at her home six miles east of Fairfield. She had been in poor health for the past four years.

Mrs. PARSONS was born at Four Corners April 4, 1862, the daughter of James and Elizabeth DROZ LIBLIN. She was married to George B. PARSONS (sic. full given name George Blakemere PARSONS) Feb. 25, 1892. He preceded her in death Jan. 14, 1939.

She was a member of the Methodist church.

Mrs. PARSONS is survived by five children: Mrs. Maud TULLER (sic. a/k/a Maude TULLER; Mrs. William Harvey TULLER), Fairfield; Floyd PARSONS, Crawfordsville; Russell PARSONS, Richland; Norvell PARSONS (sic. a/k/a Norval I. PARSONS), Fairfield; and Art PARSONS, Fairfield, with whom she made her home.

Four brothers: Louie LIBLIN, Richland; Frank LIBLIN, Peoria, Ill.; Joe LIBLIN and John LIBLIN, both of Fairfield, also survive. Three sisters, one brother, one granddaughter, and twin great grandsons preceded her in death.

The body is at the Hoskins Funeral home in Fairfield where last rites are pending.

Note: For clarification, Mary was born on April 4, 1862 and died on August 31, 1953. Her middle name as used in her obituary was "Christine"; there are other PARSONS family sources that use "Christina". She was buried at Union cemetery near Lockridge, Jefferson county, Iowa.
