Edward Martin LIBLIN, 80, lifetime resident of Jefferson county, passed away at 7 a.m. this morning at the Jefferson county hospital. He was taken to the hospital last night for an emergency operation.
For the past eight months he had made his home at the McCleary Nursing home in Fairfield. Prior to that he had lived on a farm southeast of Fairfield.
Edward Martin LIBLIN was born September 17, 1869, in Jefferson county, the son of the late George and Mary LONG LIBLIN. He was united in marriage to Rebecca CLARK who preceded her husband in death in April, 1920.
Mr. LIBLIN is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Della Marie FRENCH, Savannah, Missouri; one son, Clarence of Douds; and four grandchildren.
He is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Melissa LIBLIN, Fairfield; Frank, San Bernardino, California; Mrs. William FICKLE, Eldon; and Sylvester LIBLIN, Fairfield.
Two brothers, Will and George, preceded him in death.
