W.H. YOUNG RITES TODAY

From the Home of His Son James YOUNG and Burial in Evergreen

The last rites for William H. YOUNG (sic. full given name was William Harvey YOUNG) were held this morning at ten o'clock from the home of his son James YOUNG, 306 East Briggs street, in charge of Rev. R. H. Polly. Interment took place in Evergreen cemetery.

The pallbearers were Roy SIMMONS, Everett HIGGENBOTTOM, Frank PIERSON, William WELLS, Phillip HAMMON and Til JOHNSON. Mrs. Arthur GREEF sang two songs. Many beautiful floral offerings were sent by the many friends and relatives.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa. Old.P.361. His wife was Mary ECKERT YOUNG, who was born Nov. 8, 1850 and died September 9, 1937. She is buried in the same YOUNG family plot but does not have a headstone/footstone in place for her.
