Jennie COFFMAN

Jennie COFFMAN, 94, of Bloomfield, formerly of Fairfield, died at 5:06 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 29, 1992, at Bloomfield Care Center (note: in Davis Co., IA).

The service is set for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Open visitation begins Tuesday morning at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to the Bloomfield Care Center Activity Fund.

Mrs. COFFMAN was born Jan. 6, 1898, in Bloomfield, the daughter of Homer R. and Lillie M. SWIFT PARKS. She was reared and educated in Bloomfield. After marrying Joe COFFMAN on Jan. 17, 1920, in Bloomfield, she moved to Fairfield. They owned and operated the Coffman Sporting Goods and Appliance Store in Fairfield. He died Aug. 17, 1957. She returned to Bloomfield several years ago. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fairfield and of Soroptimist International.

Surviving are two sisters, Alta MARTIN of Brighton, Colo., Gladys STEVENSON of Bloomfield; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers, Roy and Claude PARKS and two sisters, Ruth SEVILLE and Mamie KENNEDY, preceded her in death.
