Edna Frances SCHELL

Edna Frances SCHELL, 94, 108 W. Adams Ave., died at 3:55 p.m. Friday, Nov. 27, 1992, at Sunnyslope Care Center in Ottumwa.

The service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Raymond Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenneth Royar officiating. By her request, Mrs. SCHELL's body will be donated to the University of Iowa Hospitals Research following the service. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Senior Citizen Site in Fairfield or charity of donor's choice.

Mrs. SCHELL was born July 28, 1898, at La Crosse, Wis., the daughter of Edward Franklin and Frances WICK. She lived in La Crosse until moving to Mount Pleasant in 1910. She graduated from Mount Pleasant High School and from the School of Culinary Arts of the School of Economics in Chicago. She had worked as a cook for Chicago newspaper columnist Irv Kupcinet for seven years. Since 1945, she had lived in Fairfield, where she attended First United Methodist Church and was a member of Order of Eastern Star. She married Edgar SCHELL in Chicago. He preceded her in death.
