Forest A. Wolf, 92, formerly of the Packwood and Hedrick area, died Monday, Sept. 1, 2003, at Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.

The body has been cremated. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Fremont Funeral Chapel in Fremont, with the Rev. Shirley Hoffman-Will officiating. Burial of the ashes will be at McCormick Cemetery near Highland Center at a later date.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Hedrick First Responders.

Mr. Wolf was born Aug. 3, 1911, in Wellington, Kan., the son of Clarence A. and Nellie Mabelle Rogers Wolf.

Mr. Wolf was educated in Wapello County. He was employed at Swift and Company, John Morrell Company and operated a dairy farm in the Chillicothe area for two years. He retired from active farming in 1974. He lived in rural Packwood for 47 years and Hedrick Housing for five years.

Survivors include three sons, Lyle Wolf and wife Judy of Packwood, Max Wolf and wife Maxine of Fremont, and Gary Wolf and wife Donna of Packwood; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; seven stepgreat-grandchildren; and two brothers, Frank Wolf of Hedrick and Richard Wolf of Medford, Ore.

Mr. Wolf was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Florence Everhart; and one brother, Rex Wolf.
