Adam Dean Sederburg, 23, of Mount Sterling died at 12:06 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, 2003, enroute from Van Buren County Hospitals in Keosauqua to the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City by helicopter from injuries sustained in an auto accident at the junction of Highway 2 and Van Buren County Route W-40, south of Bonaparte.

The funeral will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Pedrick Funeral Home in Keosauqua, with the Rev. Beryl Cragg officiating. Burial will be in Combs Cemetery in Luray, Mo.

Open visitation will begin at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the family present from 3-4:30 p.m. and 7-8:30 p.m. Memorials to the family may be left at the funeral home or mailed to the family at Route 1, Box 140, Mount Sterling, 52573.

Mr. Sederburg was born June 15, 1980, in Ottumwa, the son of Donald D. and Mary Scearcy Sederburg.

He grew up in Clark County, Mo., south of Mount Sterling and graduated from Wyaconda C-1 High School in 1999. He had worked at Falco in Fairfield and Tan Tara Trucking Co., in Muscatine and was employed by Barry Hotle Farms in Keosauqua until his death.

He was a regular participant in the Mount Sterling Mud Run with his 4-wheel drive pick-up truck.

Survivors include his parents; a twin brother, Alan Sederburg of Bonaparte; two sisters, Elizabeth Keniston of Columbia, Mo., and Emily Sederburg of Fairfield; and grandparents, Miles and Margaret Sederburg of Mount Sterling and June Scearcy of Vernon.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Earl Scearcy.
