Lola Crawford Unkrich, 95, of Good Samaritan Center in Keosauqua, died at 8:20 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 28, 2003, at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. David Peterson officiating. Burial will be Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon to 6 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the family present from 1-2 p.m. Tuesday before the service.

Memorials may be made to the donors choice.

Mrs. Unkrich was born April 19, 1908, near Stockport, the daughter of John and Maggie Bruey Crawford. She married Clifford Unkrich June 17, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo. He died April 5, 1998.

Mrs. Unkrich was educated in the Stockport community and graduated from the Stockport High School in 1928. She lived most of her life in Van Buren and Jefferson counties. She was a farm homemaker and a housekeeper for Walter and Bonnie Hughes, as well as a worker in the kitchen at Jefferson County Hospital.

Mrs. Unkrich was affiliated with First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Shirley Allison and husband Howard of Urbana, Mo., and Thelda Berry and husband Walter of West Des Moines; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Chris Unkrich; one grandchild; and one brother, Lyle Crawford.
