Gloria Darlene Johnson Reed, 76, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at Jefferson City Care Manor.

According to her wishes, the body has been cremated and will be buried with her granddaughter, Leslie, in Butte, Mont.

Mrs. Reed was born Jan. 19, 1927, in Seldon, Kan., the daughter of Harold Howell and Alice Munson Johnson. She married Jerry Naaktgeboren in 1949. They divorced. She married Nelson Reed. They divorced.

Mrs. Reed moved with her family to Stockport where she attended Taylor No. 2 Country School, graduating from Stockport High School with honors. She enrolled in Parsons College and received a teaching certificate. The first elementary school she taught at was in Lockridge. She then completed her bachelor of science degree at Linden Wood College in St. Charles, Mo. After divorcing her first husband, she moved to California. She then received her masters degree.

Survivors include two daughters, Linda Rosin and husband Paul of Butte, Mont. and Annie Tremaine and husband Scott of Jefferson City, Mo.; one son, Hoss Reed and wife Sandy of St. Charles, Mo.; six grandchildren; one great-grandson; and one sister, Marilyn Klise of Largo, Fla.

Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Harry Reed; and one granddaughter.
