Lee LOEHR, 76, long-time resident of Fairfield, passed away yesterday at Baltimore, Maryland, where he and Mrs. LOEHR had made their home with their son, John and wife, for the past several months. He had been in failing health for some time.
The body will arrive in Fairfield Thursday afternoon and will be taken to the Weston Behner funeral home. Funeral arrangements are pending.
William Lee LOEHR was born March 14, 1871, in Libertyville, Iowa, the son of the late John F. and Eliza Ann McCREERY LOEHR. He was united in marriage on April 25, 1907 to Cora DILL, at Fairfield.
The couple made their home at 606 S. Third street for many years until about five years ago when they went to Detroit where their daughter, Agnes, teaches school, and later to Baltimore where their son resides. They retained their home here in Fairfield, however, until this past summer.
Mr. LOEHR was at one time employed at the old Hawkeye Pump company here in Fairfield, and later at the Louden Machinery company before his retirement.
He is survived by his wife and two children: Agnes, Detroit, and John, Baltimore. Mr. LOEHR is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Lillian BUSWELL and Guy LOEHR, Los Angeles, California; Mrs. Gertrude HUSTON, Enid, Oklahoma; Mrs. Carrie BAKER, Mrs. Fred NEIBERT and Ray LOEHR, all of Fairfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and a brother-in-law, B. A. DILL, Fairfield.

Note: Buried in Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Lot 4th.021. Wife Cora died some 20 years later, in 1967, and is buried with him.
