Ivan Ralph HUNERDOSSE

Ivan Ralph HUNERDOSSE, 88, of 503 E. Adams Ave. died at 6:26 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2001, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m Tuesday at First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Ronald E. Stone officiating. Burial, with military rites, will be at Evergreen Cemetery.

Family visitation will be held from 6:30-8 p.m. today at Behner Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, Fairfield Lions Club or the American Legion.

Mr. HUNERDOSSE was born March 17, 1913, in Newbern, the son of Gerald Francis and Rena Matilda RIGGS HUNERDOSSE. He married Aletha "Marie" PALMER Sept. 1, 1941, at her parents' home in Newburg.

He had lived in the Fairfield community since 1940. He was a supervisor at Iowa Malleable Iron Company before his retirement. He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.

He was a member of First Presbyterian Church, American Legion, Fairfield Lions Club and the Howard Johnson Coffee Club. He volunteered with Indian Guides and Fairfield Little League baseball. He was a member of the Fairfield Bowling Hall of Fame. He was a St. Louis Cardinal baseball fan.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, William G. HUNERDOSSE, Robert E. HUNERDOSSE and his wife Betty and Ronald I. HUNERDOSSE and his wife LInda, all of Fairfield; one daughter, Janet M. HUNERDOSSE of Fairfield; two brothers, Oscar HUNERDOSSE of Spring Green, Wis. and Arthur HUNERDOSSE of Rim Rock, Ariz., five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; and four stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Alfred, Clarence, Glenn and Jesse HUNERDOSSE; and one grandson.
