A Good Woman Gone.

After many years of suffering, Mrs. Anna F. BRADSHAW, wife of J. C. BRADSHAW, of this city, passed from this life Sunday, Feb. 7th. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. J. A. Boatman, Monday afternoon at the M. E. church, of which she has been a member since 1861. Anna F. WHITHAM was born in Ripley county, Indiana, Aug. 16, 1824 and moved to Iowa with her parents in November, 1844. She was married to J. C. BRADSHAW July 27, 1845. To them were born six children, three of whom, Dr. A. C. D., W. E., and Mrs. S. P. HOWARD, all of this city, together with her husband, are still living. To them will be extended the sincere sympathy of the community in their bereavement. Mrs. BRADSHAW had been a resident of Jefferson county since she came to Iowa. About eight years ago moved to this city, but afterwards lived for some time on the farm east of town known as the BRADSHAW farm. For the last year she has been making her home with her daughter, Mrs. S. A. HOWARD, and it was there that she died, passing away in the triumph of a living faith.

Death of Mrs. BRADSHAW.

Anna F. WHITHAM, wife of J. C. BRADSHAW, died at her home on Burlington street Sunday. Deceased was born in born Ripley county, Ind., August 16th, 1824, and came to Iowa in November, 1844, her residence in Jefferson county covering a period of fifty-six years. She was married to Mr. BRADSHAW, who survives her, July 27th, 1845. Six children were born of this marriage, only three of whom are now living, Dr. A. C. D, William E. BRADSHAW and Mrs. S. P. HOWARD, all of this city. Mrs. BRADSHAW joined the Methodist Episcopal church in 1861, and had been a member of the Fairfield congregation since 1884. She was an excellent christian woman, and in the days of her active live had a wide acquaintance and was very generally loved and esteemed. An affectionate wife and mother, a kind neighbor and a sympathetic friend, she met the duties of life bravely and discharged them fearlessly. The aged husband and family will have the sympathy of many friends in the affliction which has come to them. The remains were interred in this city Monday, Rev. J. A. Boatman conducting the funeral services.
