Donovan L. STEVENS, 81, of Richland, died Saturday, July 23, 2011, at SunnyBrook Living Care Center in Fairfield.
Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. Cremation will follow. Burial will be at a later date.

Mr. STEVENS was born Nov. 10, 1929, the son of Kenneth and Gladys TOMKINS STEVENS. He married Luella DOROTHY. They later divorced. He then married Shirley WOODS, and they later divorced. He married Dorothy YOUNT Nov. 23, 1979.
Mr. STEVENS had lived in Richland since 2004. He had previously resided in Fairfield. Mr. STEVENS worked as a molder for Iowa Malleable Iron Works and later as a security guard for Dumors office and furniture.
He served in the National Guard for four years.
Mr. STEVENS was a member of the National Rifle Association.
His hobbies included fishing and hunting.
Survivors include his wife; nine children, Gary STEVENS and wife Denise of Fairfield, Don STEVENS and wife Rita of Batavia, Connie WOODSON of Birmingham, Carol HOLDER and husband Jesse of Fairfield, Bob STEVENS and wife Geri of Batavia, Billy STEVENS of Fairfield, Jeff STEVENS and wife Renee of Fairfield, Tina SANDERSON of Mount Pleasant and Willie STEVENS and wife Emily of Richland; two stepsons, Tim SCOTT of Temple, Texas, and James SCOTT of Richland; 36 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one grandchild; one great-grandchild; and one stepbrother, Walt COWAN.
