MRS. JACOBS, 76, PASSES AWAY

Mrs. Anna JACOBS, 76, passed away last night at 12:10 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Geo. ANDERSON, Abingdon. She had been ill for several months. Mrs. JACOBS was a well known resident of Fairfield. Her home was at 206 North 3rd. St.

Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 3:00 at the First Lutheran church, in charge of the Hoskins funeral home, with Rev. E. A. Piper officiating. The body was taken to funeral parlors in Abingdon and will be taken from there to the church for the services. Burial will be in the Evergreen cemetery.

Mrs. JACOBS (note: maiden name was LINDAHL) was born December 12, 1867 (sic. other sources have the DOB as December 9, 1867). She was married on August 21, 1888 to Frank JACOBS, who preceded her in death on April 20, 1928. The resided on a farm north of Lockridge for many years before moving to Fairfield. Two children also preceded her in death.

She is survived by five daughters: Mrs. Ray STONER, route 2, Fairfield, Mrs. George ANDERSON, Abingdon, Mrs. Carl DIEHL, Pleasant Plain, Mrs. Kenneth BURNS, Fenton, Ill., and Mrs. Andrew CASTILE, Stillwater, Okla. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and a number of other relatives in Jefferson county.

Mrs. JACOBS was a faithful member of the First Lutheran church and Sunday school, and was affiliated with the Women's Relief Corps of Fairfield.
