Charlene Renee IBBOTSON

Charlene Renee IBBOTSON, 62, died Saturday, July 23, 2011, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

A private family service will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Jasper County Animal Rescue League.

Arrangements are in the care of Pence-Reese Funeral Home in Newton.

Mrs. IBBOTSON was born Jan. 15, 1949, in Fairfield, the daughter of Hubert Eugene HOSKINS and Leona May LAKE. She married John Howard IBBOTSON Oct. 16, 1971, in Pleasant Plain.

Mrs. IBBOTSON graduated from Fairfield High School and went on to receive a secretarial degree. She worked as a medical transcriptionist.

Mrs. IBBOTSON enjoyed caring for her animals, gardening and riding on the back of her husband's Harley motorcycle.

Survivors include her husband of Baxter; her father and stepmother, Hubert and Louise HOSKINS of Fairfield; her mother and stepfather, Leona and Don WELCH of Mason City; two brothers, Gary HOSKINS of Iowa City and Jim HOSKINS of Fairfield; and one sister, Lugene JACKSON of La Porte, Colo.
