Stacey Grant Logan, 53, of 506 Winfield Ave., in Mount Pleasant, died at 9:46 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 20, 2003, at Henry County Health Center in Mount Pleasant.

The funeral will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Weir and Kimzey Funeral Home, 213 North Main Street, in Mount Pleasant, with the Rev. Dr. Edward R. Peterson officiating. Burial will be in the Forest Home Cemetery in Mount Pleasant

Visitation began at noon today and will continue until 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the scholarship fund established for his son Clayton.

Mr. Logan was born Nov. 16, 1949, in Fairfield, the son of Lawrence Wilbert and Betty Jane Coleson Logan. He married Jane Louise Sanaghan Nov. 19, 1988, in New London.

Mr. Logan grew up in the Fairfield, Mount Pleasant and Burlington areas. He maintained a long career in the transportation industry. For many years, he was employed as a truck driver for the Consolidated Freightways company. For the past 17 years, he worked for the Wal-Mart Distribution Center in Mount Pleasant as a yard driver. His pastimes included hunting and fishing, mushroom hunting, tinkering on the CB radio and spending time with his granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Clayton Logan; two daughters, Renae Lynn Dickey and Barbie Bub Logan Walls, all of Mount Pleasant; his mother, Betty Logan of Mount Pleasant; one brother, Steve Logan of Spring Hill, Fla.; one sister, Jean Martin of Mount Pleasant; and one granddaughter.

Mr. Logan was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
