Donald Keith Zillman, 65, of 2259 Glasgow Road, died at 7:51 p.m. Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The body was cremated. A memorial service for Donald Keith Zillman will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), with the Rev. Kurt Makower and the Rev. Richard Wallarab officiating.

Family visitation will be from 6:30-8 p.m. today at Behner Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, the Zillman family requests memorials be made to Crossroads Hospice or to First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Mr. Zillman was born Oct. 29, 1937, in Fairfield, the son of Earl and Florence Keller Zillman. He married Deanna Kay Lucas July 25, 1984, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua. She is surviving.

Mr. Zillman lived all of his life in the Fairfield community. He graduated from Fairfield High School with the class of 1956. Don was a general contractor for Zillman Construction.

Mr. Zillman had served in the Iowa National Guard. Don was a member of First Christian Church, and served as usher, deacon and chairman of the board during his membership. He also was a member of Fairfield Elks Lodge No. 1192, Walton Club and the Jefferson County Police Reserve.

Mr. Zillman is survived by his wife, Deanna Zillman of Fairfield; one son, Donald Lee Zillman of Richland; three stepchildren, Brian Best of Fairfield, Mike Best and wife Rhonda of Centerville and Joni Stever and husband Joe of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one brother, Dean Zillman and wife Carolyn of Newhall; one sister, Linda Pirretti and husband Jim of Del Ray, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Zilman was preceded in death by his parents.
