Shirley Ann ALLEN FREELS

Shirley Ann ALLEN FREELS, 59, 501 E. Hempstead Ave., died at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, June 14, 1994, at Nelson Nursing Home.

A graveside service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Kirby officiating. Family visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Behner Funeral Home. The casket will be closed. A memorial has been established to Fairfield High School Library.

Mrs. FREELS was born Nov. 14, 1934, in Oskaloosa, the daughter of Charles H. and Stella DABNER ALLEN. She graduated from Fairfield High School in 1955 and was a nurse's aide for 15 years before retiring because of failing health. She lived most of her life in Manteca, Calif. For the past three years, she had been a nurse's aide at Nelson Nursing Home. She was a member of African Methodist Episcopal Church, and the Church of God and Christ in San Bernardino, Calif.

Surviving are her mother, Stella ALLEN ROBINSON of Fairfield; three brothers, William H. ALLEN of Inglewood, Calif., Charles ALLEN of San Bernardino, Larry ALLEN of Champaign, Ill.; a sister, Audry MUNSON of San Bernardino; several nieces and nephews. Her father and a brother, Gerald L. ALLEN, preceded her in death.
