DEATH CLAIMS LOUIS P. CLINE

Death came Saturday night to Louis Patterson CLINE, who passed away at the home of his son, Charles CLINE, who resides west of Abingdon.

His death came at 9:00 p.m. after a serious illness of the past six weeks.

Last rites will be Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Abingdon Christian church with Rev. S. P. Williamson in charge. Burial will be in the Abingdon cemetery. The body will remain at the Hoskins funeral home until time for the services.

Louis Patterson CLINE, 89, was born April 30, 1861, in Ohio. He was the son of the late William and Rebecca CLINE.

He was united in marriage on January 17, 1889, near Abingdon to Matilda E. PETERS. CLINE spent his entire adult life in Jefferson county except for a few years in Nebraska. He was a farmer all of his life and a member of the Christian church, joining the church at Aurora, Nebraska.

Mrs. CLINE preceded her husband in death on January 26, 1948 (sic - 1949).

He is survived by two daughters: Mrs. Nora E. DAVIS and Mrs. Mabel R. FOREST (sic - FORREST), both of Abingdon; one son, Charles CLINE, also of Abingdon; four grandchildren and one brother, Henry CLINE of Hale Center, Texas.
