Florence R. COCHRAN, 87, of Fairfield died at 10:10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 14, 2003, at Jefferson County Hospital.
The funeral was held Saturday at Raymond Funeral Home, with the Rev. Jan Burns Hintze officiating. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. COCHRAN was born Nov. 4, 1915, near Hillsboro, the daughter of Walter J. and Grace ZIGLER RANSON. She married Robert Sherman COCHRAN July 30, 1934, in Fairfield. He died March 1, 1979.
Mrs. COCHRAN attended elementary school in Fairfield and graduated from Fairfield High School. After her marriage she and he husband lived in St. Louis, Mo., and Lincoln, Neb., before moving back to Fairfield in 1978. She worked as a cashier and in wardrobe in a theater in Lincoln.
Mrs. COCHRAN was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include one sister, Naomi "Peggy" HOFFMAN of Fayetteville, Tenn.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert J. COCHRAN; her parents; two sisters, Mildred HARLAN and Velma CREW; and one brother, Kenneth RANSON.
