Thomas Wichhart, 58, of Burr Ridge, Ill., died Sunday, Aug. 10, 2003, at his lake home in Wonder Lake, Ill.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at George R. Justin and Son Funeral Home, 3519 W. Elm, in McHenry, Ill. Burial will be in Woodstock, Ill.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials to Maryville/Michael Mele Scholarship Fund may be mailed to the family at 30 Pin Oak Court, Burr Ridge, Ill. 60521 or 207 Riverview Drive, Keosauqua 52565.
Mr. Wichhart was born Oct. 11, 1944, in Fairfield, the son of Roy and Kathryn Pollock Wichhart. He married Nancy Rader Nov. 30, 1963, in Georgia.
Mr. Wichhart graduated from Keosauqua High School and Iowa Wesleyan College in Mount Pleasant. He served in the United States Army and lived in the Chicago area for many years. He owned and operated Thornel Co., a storage and shelving equipment business in Burr Ridge.
Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Tracey Jacobson of Woodstock, Ill.; one son, Anthony Wichhart of Naperville, Ill.; his mother of Keosauqua; six grandchildren; two brothers, Gary Wichhart of Rockford, Ill., and Don Wichhart of Bonaparte; and three sisters, Diane Bartholomew and Rose Mary Charbonneau, both of Keosauqua and Christine Wiley of Lees Summit, Mo.
Mr. Wichhart was preceded in death by his father.
