Joseph DeSPAIN

Joseph DeSPAIN, 93, of St. Francis Continuation Care Center, died at 5:25 p.m. Friday, July 22, at Burlington Medical Center.

Born Feb. 29, 1884, in Fairfield (sic. Fairfield, Jefferson county, Iowa), he was the son of William and Rachel KOX (sic. COX) DeSPAIN. He married Susie May TAYLOR, Sept. 16, 1906, in Fairfield; she died Oct. 12, 1951. He was retired from the Iowa Soap Factory and a member of the Senior Citizens.

Surviving: two daughters, Mrs. Weston (Nellie) NEUTMAN, Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Dwight (Kathryn) WARD, Dauphin Island, Ala.

Funeral is pending at Prugh's Chapel.
