Tracy Lynn SYMMONDS

Tracy Lynn SYMMONDS, 49, of 179 N. Ransom, died at 8:48 a.m. June 27, 2011 at home.

She was born January 7, 1962 in Fairfield to Richard and Doris BLOUGH EKLUND.

A graduate of Fairfield High School in 1980, she had worked as assistant manager at McDonald's in Fairfield for 15 years. She had worked at several nursing homes in the Sigourney area, and for the past 10 years worked as a CNA with Hospice serving Wapello and Davis Counties.

She loved music and especially her two dogs, Chubs and Shilo and her cat, Alley.

Surviving are her children, Michael VAN TASELL of Fairfield; Gregory PREVETT of Sigourney, Samantha (Richie) SIMMONS and Heather CORDER both of Mt. Pleasant, Jordan TICHY of Ottumwa; four grandchildren, Trae, Devon, Caleb and Jazilynn; her mother, Doris EKLUND of Fairfield, her father, Richard EKLUND of Fairfield; a brother, Jim (Kathy) EKLUND of Fairfield; a sister, Kelly HELMANTOLER of Woodward; many nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Fred Lonsdale.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Julie McCRACKEN and her grandparents.

Her body has been cremated. Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Reece Funeral Home in Ottumwa with Rev. Basil Tadlock officiating.

Visitation with the family present will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice, 927 E. Pennsylvania, Ottumwa, IA 52501.
