MRS. ELIZABETH GILLETTE.

Elizabeth Stewart MOORE, daughter of Henry and Mary MOORE, was born Aug. 29, 1846, in Butler County, Ohio. At the age of four years she came with her parents to Jefferson County, Iowa. She was married to Orlin GILLETTE Sept. 27, 1866. To this union were born ten children. The husband and three children preceded her in death, one dying in infancy, and William R. and Iva R. passed away several years ago. There survives Nevada G. YERGENSON of Emmett, Idaho; F. O. GILLETTE and Bertha I. SIMPKINS of King Hill, Idaho; Mrs. Mary LYON of Richland, Iowa; Margaret A. MOWREY of Hedrick, Iowa; Ray A. GILLETTE of Whiteland, Indiana, and Mary A. RIDGEWAY of Ollie, Iowa... Mr. and Mrs. Orlin GILLETTE lived on a farm four miles south of Packwood for many years. Here they lived until their family was grown, and here the husband died and was buried in the Abingdon Cemetery. On May 1, 1909, Mrs. GILLETTE moved to Idaho and has since resided there. The body arrived at Linby Sunday evening, accompanied by her son, F. O. GILLETTE, and was taken to the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ross MOWREY. From there the funeral services were held on Tuesday morning at 11:30 conducted by Rev. B. G. Hankins of the M.E. Church of Packwood. Neither daughter from Idaho nor the son from Indiana were able to be present at the funeral. Interment was made in the Abingdon Cemetery beside her husband.
