TOWN AND COUNTY.

Jacob MYERS, for many years a resident of Abingdon, dropped dead in Mystic one day last week (sic - Thursday the 8th), where he has resided for perhaps ten years past. Mr. MYERS was a member of the well known MYERS family of Polk township, and was proprietor of the hotel at Abingdon for several years. He was about sixty years of age. His remains were interred at Abingdon Saturday.

Note: Jacob's wife was Sarah E. DAVIS who died in 1889. This is not the physician, Jacob L. MYERS. Dr. MYERS died in 1900 and is buried in Old Fairfield City Cemetery, and was married to Frances BELL, Mary Ann RAMSAY, Eliza KOONS, and Rachel ROBINSON, in that order.
