Mrs. Sarah R. (CHADDUCK) (KAIL) RUPP died last Mon. at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Erma PEEBLER, Griswold. Interment in McCleary Cemetery. Born in virginia Dec 29 1843. Eight children, five living.

SARAH R. RUPP.

Sarah R. CHADDUCK born in Virginia Dec 29 1843, came to Jefferson County, Iowa, where she was married to James Dallas KAIL Mar. 19 1868; eight children, three preceded the mother in death, and five living: Mary M. SCHENK, Shell, Wyo.; Charles A. KAIL, Alberta, Canada; Jacob KAIL, Ralston, Okla.; Harvey KAIL, and Erma PEEBLES (sic - PEEBLER), Griswold, Iowa; also four brothers and two sisters.... Mr. KAIL died May 1 1883. She was later married to scott RUPP who died several years ago. Mrs. RUPP died Feb 28 1916 at the home of her daughter Mrs Erma PEEBLES (sic - PEEBLER). Methodist Church and Christian Church. Funeral held at home of James Gorman five miles east of Batavia, conducted by Rev. John Brown of Batavia. Interment in the McCleary Cemetery.
