Richard V. COVERDALE (sic - COVERDILL) born in Putnam Co., Ind., Feb 18 1836, died Sat. Mar. 4 1916 at the home of his daughter in Ottumwa, age 80 y. 15 d. In 1857 married Emily Caroline PASSWATER; nine children, two are left to mourn, Mrs. Robert HOWARD of Ottumwa, and Mrs. Roy DAILEY of Bladensburg. He moved from Indiana to Iowa in 1881. M.E. Ch. Wife died in Batavia in 1900.... Bur. McCleary Cemetery.
