LOCKRIDGE -- Verle H. EGLI, 75, of rural Lockridge, died at 3:05 p.m. Friday, Nov. 19, 1993, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City.
The service was at 10 a.m. today at Faith Christian Outreach Center in Mount Pleasant with the Rev. Monte Knudsen officiating. Burial was in Union Cemetery near Germanville. A memorial has been established to Faith Christian Outreach Mission Fund. Behner Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
EGLI was born Feb. 3, 1918, in Wayland, the son of Herman F. and Velma Christina KOCH EGLI. He married Naomi TRABERT on Feb. 28, 1840, in Trenton. She died Jan. 15, 1989. A farmer all of his adult life, he lived most of his life near Lockridge. He was a member of Faith Christian Outreach Center.
Surviving are three sons, Donnie of Lockridge, Darrell of Columbus Junction, David of Broken Arrow, Okla.; a daughter, Donna PORTER of Fairfield; 14 grandchildren; a great-grandson, three sisters, Velda EGLI of Wayland, Vernelda McCABE, Veda BATES, both of Mount Pleasant; and a brother, Virgil of Kansas City, Mo. His parents preceded him in death.
