David BUTNER

David BUTNER, 37, of Charles City, formerly of Osage, died Friday, May 13, 2011, at home.

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Champion-Bucheit Funeral Home in Osage, with the Rev. John Moser officiating. Cremation will follow, and inurnment will be at Osage Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. BUTNER was born July 18, 1973, in Omaha, Neb., the son of Lloyd and Kathlene MEYERS BUTNER. He married Shelly WINTERINK March 25, 1995, in Osage. They were later divorced.

Mr. BUTNER grew up in Lockridge, Olds and Osage.

He enjoyed fishing with his children, spending time outdoors, bicycling with his brother-in-law, spending time with his friends and listening to music. He also was a fan of the Fighting Irish.

Survivors include three daughters, Michaela BUTNER of Charles City, Jillian BUTNER of Osage and Shelby YANZER of Osage; one son, Christopher BUTNER of Charles City; his mother, Kathy BUTNER WOGSTAD and husband Robert of May City; and one sister, Lorrinda KISLEY of Osage.

He was preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Norma Jean BUTNER, Lillian HOOTEN and Edward O'BRIAN.
