Louise KEMP

Louise KEMP, 84, 205 W. Briggs Ave., died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, May 29, 1992, at Jefferson County Hospital.

The service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at First Christian Church with the Rev. Robert Gates officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Family visitation will be from 7 to 8 tonight at Raymond Funeral Home, where memorials to First Christian Church or the Heart Fund may be left.

Mrs. KEMP was born March 11, 1908, in rural Jefferson county, the daughter of Harry B. and Stella BROYLES CULBERTSON. She lived her entire life in Jefferson county, graduating from Fairfield High School in 1926. She married Dr. Warren Case KEMP on Feb. 5, 1931, in Fairfield. He died March 30, 1960. She was a member of First Christian Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and was on the church board for many years.

Surviving are a son, Denny of Dallas, Texas; a daughter, Sherry DAILEY of Panama City Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a sister, Edna Helen CULBERTSON of Fairfield. Two brothers, Arthur and Vern; a sister, Carrie Belle CULBERTSON; and a daughter preceded her in death.

The headstone inscription is "M. Louise" in lot 3rd.022 1/2 at Evergreen Cemetery, Fairfield, Iowa. The obituary nor other family files have not indicated what the "M" stands for. Any clarifiation would be appreciated.
