MRS. SODERGREN, 91, NATIVE OF SWEDEN, DIES

Passed away at home of son in Lockridge early today

Mrs. Hannah SODERGREN, 91, who came to this country from Sweden 59 years ago, passed away at 12:45 a.m. today at the home of a son, V.O. SODERGREN (sic. Victor Oliver SODERGREN), in Lockridge.

She was born in Sweden on Sept. 11, 1847 and came to the Unisted States when she was 33 years of age. Her husband, P. J. SODERGREN (sic. Peter John/Per Johan SODERGREN) preceded her in death Dec. 7, 1908.

Mrs. SODERGREN is survived by the following children:

E.A. SODERGREN (sic. Edmund August SODERGREN) of Olds; Mrs. Selma DANIELSON of Fosston, Minn.; Paul F. SODERGREN of Dixon, Ill.; Mrs. Hilma MESSER of Lockridge; V. O. SODERGREN of Lockridge and A. L. SODERGREN (sic. Archie Lewis SODERGREN) of Fairfield. She is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Lockridge Lutheran church in charge of Rev. Kastmann. Interment will be in New Sweden cemetery. The body is at Hoskins Funeral Home.

Her entry has usually been found as "Hannah MONSON SODERGREN"; it should be noted that her memorial on the FindAGrave website notes her name as "Johanna 'Hannah' MAGNUSDOTTER SODERGREN". It isn't known to this contributor if that version is better researched or speculation, but thought it should be noted.
