A. L. SODERGREN Taken In Death

Archie L. SODERGREN (sic. full name used on his WWI draft registration card was Archie Lewis SODERGREN; other sources have used Archie Lavis Eugene SODERGREN), former city employee, died at 1:20 p.m. Friday in the Van Buren Memorial hospital where he had been confined the past ten days. He had been in failing health since a car accident March 5, 1967.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Weston Behner Funeral Home in charge of Rev. Hoyt L. Whitebread. Burial will be in the Lockridge cemetery.

He was born May 8, 1894 at Lockridge the son of John and Hannah MONSON SODERGREN and was married April 5, 1964 to Julia LYONS. The spent the past three years at Kilbourne but the most of his life was spent in Fairfield and Jefferson County.

Besides his wife he is survived by two children, Richard SODERGREN of Des Moines and Mrs. Rosalie WOLBERT of Burlington, four grandchildren and one brother, Victor O. SODERGREN of Lockridge.

He was preceded by four brothers and four sisters.

Note: Archie was previously married to Nora COX. She is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Fairfield, Iowa in her COX family plot, under her SODERGREN married name.

He was also previously married to a Florence Nellie KIRK (1904-1988).
