SODERGREN Rites Will Be Sunday

LOCKERIDGE - Victor O. SODERGREN, 84, Lockridge, passed away about 1:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at the Jefferson County Hospital following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be Sunday at 1:30 p.m. at the Lockridge Lutheran Church with the Rev. Lenwood Monte in charge. Burial will be in the New Sweden Lutheran Cemetery. The casket will be taken from the Raymond Funeral Home to the church at noon Sunday.

Victor O. SODERGREN was born Dec. 13, 1885, in Jefferson County on a farm west of Lockridge. He was the son of Peter J. and Anna MONSON SODERGREN. He was reared and educated in the Lockridge Community.

On Sept. 2, 1914, he was married to Clara TURNER at Burlington. He was a retired carpenter and served on the Jefferson County Board of Review for 16 years. He was a member of the Lutheran Church and served on the Lockridge School Board for a number of years.

Survivors include his widow and two sons, Wesley, Waterloo; Carl, Sunnyvale, Calif.; four grandsons, one granddaughter, two great grandsons and two great-great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters.
