HE WAS AN OLD SETTLER.

John MARTIN, whose home has been in Round Prairie Township for many years, died on his farm west of Glasgow Saturday, after a prolonged illness. He was seventy-two years of age, and his wife and a family of grown children survive him. The body was interred in the Fiedler cemetery Monday afternoon. Mr. MARTIN had a wide acquaintance in southeastern Jefferson County and many friends who will regret his death. He was a man of excellent character, of honesty and inegrity.
