Michael Allen SCHULTZ

Michael Allen SCHULTZ, 53, of Jacksonville, Fla., and formerly of Fairfield died from a flying accident Sunday, April 24, 2011.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain.

The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at the Town and Country Funeral Home Chapel in Jacksonville.

Memorials may be made to the National Alzheimer's Association.

Mr. SCHULTZ was born May 17, 1957, the son of George and Shirley SCHULTZ in Fairfield. He married Susan J. SCHULTZ 27 years ago.

He was employed as a civil engineer with the Army Corps of Engineers in Jacksonville, Fla.

Survivors include his wife; his mother Shirley SCHULTZ of Hiawatha; three brothers, Stephen SCHULTZ and wife Janet of Des Moines, Chris SCHULTZ of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Doug SCHULTZ and wife Kris of Fairfield; four sisters, Marion MILENDER and husband Len of Fairfield, Audrey SHELLER and husband Joe of Cedar Rapids, Paula CHICOINE and husband Dave of Omaha, Neb.; and Michelle SCHROUD and husband Darren of Cedar Rapids.
