"DEATH OF MRS. DROZ. Margaret, wife of Joseph Droz, died at her home in Cedar township, February 17th, after a lingering illness. Margaret Palm was born March 25th, 1834, in Belfort, Alsace, France. In September 1846, in company with her parents, who were among the earlier French colonists of this county, she came to the United States and became a resident of Cedar township, this county. She was married to Joseph Droz July 27th, 1861, and was the mother of three children. One died in infancy, and the others still reside here. Mrs. Droz was a member of the Catholic church from early childhood and was a consistent Christian woman. . . . .The remains were interred in the Pattison cemetery, south of the city, Rev. J. F. Magill conducting the funeral services."
