Scott DEUTSCH

Scott DEUTSCH, 52, of Richland, died Thursday evening, April 14, 2011, at home.

A service is tentatively planned Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain. Burial will be in Richland.

Family visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. Monday at the church.

Arrangements are in the care of Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Scott Richard DEUTSCH, 52, of Richland, died from cancer Thursday, April 14, 2011.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in East Pleasant Plain, with the Rev. Bob Streigel and the Rev. Lou Lenhart officiating. Burial will be at Richland Friends Cemetery in Richland, followed by a luncheon at Mother Cabrini Hall in Richland.

Visitation is from 5:30-8 p.m. today at the church, with Prayers for the Christian wake at 7:30 p.m.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Iowa or Richland First Responders.

Mr. DEUTSCH was born Dec. 1, 1958, in Fairfield, the son of Joe R. and Kathryn LEPPERT DEUTSCH.

Mr. DEUTSCH attended Fairfield community schools. He moved to Sturgis, Mich., where he was plant manager for Sturgis Molded Products. He moved back to the area in 2006.

Survivors include two sons, Cody of Kalamazoo and Trevor of Mishawaka, Ind.; his fiancée, Connie OUTMAN of Mendon; his parents; and six siblings, Kirk DEUTSCH of Iowa City, Kraig DEUTSCH of Packwood, Paula HECOX of Auburn Hills, Mich., Don DEUTSCH of Ollie, Carla STONE of Richland and Gina WELLS of Richland.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph and Margaret DEUTSCH and Donald and Alice LEPPERT.
