Esther E. GREEN, 93, formerly of Fairfield, died Friday, April 15, 2011, at Legacy Lodge Hospice in Chariton.
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Raymond Funeral Home in Fairfield, with the Rev. Suzanne Swahn officiating.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Mrs. GREEN was born April 24, 1917, in Jefferson County, the daughter of Sylvenus and Aletha CORR CORNELL.
Mrs. GREEN grew up in Fairfield until age 10 when her family moved to Ottumwa. She was a cook and did catering and served as hostess for the Fairfield Women's Club at the McElhinney House in Fairfield for nine years.
Survivors include four sons: Flint GARRISON and wife Ursula of Checotah, Okla., Gary GARRISON of Des Moines, Loren GARRISON and wife Marjorie of Chariton and Monty GARRISON of Greenfield, Mo.; one daughter, Cindy CARTER and husband Bill of Linden, Tenn.; 11 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ruth HALL of Ottumwa and Mary MURRAY of Ten Mile, Tenn.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Collene E. WEILER and Nancy THOMAS; four grandchildren; her parents; seven sisters Virgie WARE, Lucille LYONS, Gladys JONES, Irene CHRISTIE, Laura McELROY, Nellie ANDERSON and Doris MEALY; and two brothers, George CORNELL and Harold CORNELL.
