Clifford T. DRUMMEY, 88, of Fairfield, died this morning, Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Arrangements are pending at Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield.

Clifford T. DRUMMEY, 88, died Thursday, April 14, 2011, at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Behner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Stephen C. Page officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to the Emphysema Foundation or The Walton Club. Cards and memorials may be sent to Alicia Tygart, 1005 Grand Park Drive, Fairfield 52556.

Mr. DRUMMEY was born Oct. 14, 1922, in Cedar Rapids, the son of George and Ada Mae SHEPPARD DRUMMEY. He married Geraldine PHILLIPS Dec. 5, 1943, in Cedar Rapids.

Mr. DRUMMEY served in the South Pacific for two years with the United States Army Air Force during World War II. He worked for the Cedar Rapids Waterworks from 1947-1963. He then worked for the Fairfield Water Department and retired in 1988 as general superintendent.

Mr. DRUMMEY enjoyed woodworking and bowling. He also enjoyed golf and clarinet music.

Survivors include his wife; one daughter, Alicia TYGART and husband Richard of Fairfield; one son, Douglas DRUMMEY and wife Haifa of Council Bluffs; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Kathleen PENROD; and one brother, George William DRUMMEY.

Clifford T. DRUMMEY, age 88, passed away Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Parkview Care Center in Fairfield.

Funeral services will be held Monday, April 18, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at Behner Funeral Home with Father Stephen C. Page officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, April 17, 2011 at Behner Funeral Home.

Clifford was born in Cedar Rapids on October 14, 1922 to George and Ada Mae SHEPPARD DRUMMEY. He married Geraldine PHILLIPS on December 5, 1943 in Cedar Rapids.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 daughter: Kathleen PENROD and 1 brother: George William DRUMMEY.
