PEQUIGNOT Rites Set

Last rites for Louis A. PEQUIGNOT, 94, will be Tuesday, Oct. 1, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Karl Holtkamp officiating.

Prayers for a Christian Wake will be conducted at 7:30 p.m. this evening, Monday, at the Weston Behner Funeral Home.

Louis A. PEQUIGNOT, longtime Jefferson County farmer, died at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs (sic. in Iowa). He had been in failing health for the past 14 months.

He was born Nov. 2, 1879, in Jefferson County, the son of Alphonse and Julie M. NADY PEQUIGNOT. He was married Feb. 21, 1914, to Merta THOMSON. She died Feb. 24, 1972.

He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and had been a farmer and carpenter all of his life, and spent the past several months with his daughter in Omaha.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Donna CARNCROSS, Omaha; Mrs. Shirley HESTON, Fairfield; one son, Lewis PEQUIGNOT, Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Also one sister, Mrs. Harriett RIESTE, Sutherland; one brother, Don PEQUIGNOT, Wishram, Wash. He was preceded in death (sic. by) two brothers and four sisters.
