MRS. PEQUIGNOT DIED AT IOWA CITY HOSPITAL

Was Life Time Resident Of Jefferson County; Funeral Wednesday

Mrs. Lorene Blanche PEQUIGNOT, wife of Ned PEQUIGNOT, passed away yesterday afternoon at the University hospital at Iowa City where she had been a patient for the past week. She had been in poor health for a year and seriously ill a week.

Funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Wednesday morning from the St. Mary's Catholic church in charge of Father E. F. Gaule. Interment in Evergreen cemetery. The body will remain at the Hoskins Funeral Home until time for the services.

Mrs. PEQUIGNOT was born in Jefferson county February 13, 1888 the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. M.B. HUMPHREYS. She had spent her entire life in this county making her home at the time of her death five miles southeast of the city. She is survived by her parents, her husband and two children, Jeannette and Milo, at home. She also leaves the following brothers and sisters: Don HUMPHREYS, Mrs. Earl DANA, Mrs. John DUBOIS and Mrs. P. C. NORTHCUTT (sic. Mrs. NORTHCUTT was Mabel, who in 1947 as a widow would marry the also widowed Ned PEQUIGNOT), all of near Fairfield, and Mrs. Julia DAGGETT of Toledo, Ohio. The entire family with the exception of Mrs. DAGGETT, were at her bedside at the time of her death.
